Our Team

Carter began his career as a construction worker at 18 years old, and by age 30, he decided that profession was no longer a fit for him. He decided to take a leap of faith and make his dreams a reality. Carter loves animals, especially dogs, and he wanted to have his own dog-walking and pet-sitting business. In July 2024, he left his job as a Lead Hand at a company which constructs commercial liquid storage tanks, and on September 9, 2024, Walking Pals Pet Service Ltd. was officially registered. Since then, Carter has single handedly built his corporation to include over 50 clients and over 2500 services. The business continues to grow and thrive, with hopes to expand to a full boarding service one day. In Carter's (minimal) free time as a business owner, he enjoys biking, hiking, doing home renovations, game centers, and trying all sorts of new restaurants

Our newest walker Candice is an animal lover to the core! She has been actively volunteering with animal rescues since 2013, including fostering cats at home. Fostering led to the adoption of her beloved orange tabby, Chance, through Hearts to Homes Feline Rescue. Candice also loves dogs of all types and cant wait to meet yours! She has been a dog walker for many years through the SPCA, while also providing walks for family and friends. When not spending time with animals, she enjoys traveling and playing sports. We are exciteed to have her join the Walking Pals Pet Service team!

Carrie connected with Walking Pals Pet Service because she loves animals, herself having dogs as a child and now chickens as an adult! In addition to being a Pet Professional for Walking Pals, she is a Horticulturist and has been a teacher for 21 years. In the spare time she has when not teaching or seeing our pals, Carrie loves to garden and has a greenhouse. In the summers, she provides a gardening service to anyone who needs help keeping up with their gardens. She also enjoys reading and spending time with family. Her self-driven nature and love of all pals make her a perfect fit for our team.

Nathan joined Walking Pals Pet Service as a part-time pet professional to fulfill his free time when not acting as a Lay Preacher. He is a creative at heart, who enjoys both reading and writing. Some of his favourite authors to read are classics such as Tolstoy, Hawthorne, and Hardy. Nathan is a poet, lyricist, short-story writer, and essayist. Additionally, he has spent 12 years working with teens and young adults as a mentor. Walking Pals is grateful Nathan has joined our team with his kind and dedicated personality!

Traci has recently joined our Walking Pals Pet Service Team as a part-time booking and administrative assistant. Born and raised in Brantford, she has spent her career as an Executive Assistant in many diverse roles including the Grand Erie District School Board, where for the past 5 years, she has worked in the Guidance department of a secondary school. She is the proud mom of a 17-year-old daughter whom she loves to spend time with, along with a goofy & lovable rescue pup, Reece (who also loves Carter!) Traci will be helping to ensure that things run smoothly at Walking Pals by replying to emails and booking your appointments.
